Kevin Knowles
Kevin Knowles is director of defined contribution for Russell Investments’ Advisor & Intermediary Solutions business. In this role, Kevin is responsible for management and development efforts of Russell Investments’ Defined Contribution offerings. He is particularly focused on default investment solutions – off-the-shelf target date funds, custom target date portfolios and Adaptive Retirement Accounts (ARA). Kevin is also focused on ongoing research of defined contribution best practices and the evolution of product solutions at Russell Investments and across the industry. He had authored several white-papers on defined contribution investment topics, covering broad topics in A Defined Contribution Retirement Plan Handbook and more focused investment related topics, as covered in The date debate revisited.

Prior to joining Russell Investments in 2013, Kevin spent 5 years at Allianz Global Investors, where he was responsible for the product management and strategic positioning of the AllianzGI target date and target risk funds.

Kevin holds a B.A in Finance from Loyola University Maryland’s Sellinger School of Business and Management and is a CFA® charterholder. Kevin is also actively involved with several industry organizations, including serving as a member on the executive committee of the Defined Contribution Institutional Investment Association (DCIIA), and as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Employee Benefit Research Institute (EBRI).Kevin Knowles is director of defined contribution for Russell Investments’ Advisor & Intermediary Solutions business.
